About

From the age of seven, when she became the organist for her father’s church, or perhaps even earlier, Mickey Mangun has had the heart and soul of a worshiper.  Today, she is a speaker, singer, and has performed for governors and presidents.

In addition to all the other hats she wears, Mickey has, for almost three decades added the role of Producer for a major Easter event at her local church. From 1983-2004, Messiah, a musical and dramatic portrayal of the life of Jesus Christ came to the church stage. Performances included a cast and crew of over 500 individuals and was seen by literally thousands of people in sold out crowds. After a ten year break, in 2015, Above All brought to life the final seven days of the life of Christ. Again, with a cast and crew of over 500, it was viewed by 15-20,000 people per year for four years straight. The new production offered multi-media, environmental projection, full surround sound as well as live music and drama to bring the story of His final days and final hours to life. Messiah returned in 2022 and 2023 with sold out performances with thousands of lives changed.

In the spring of 2008, SEVEN was born from the heart and soul of Mickey Mangun.  This unique ministry to those within the church and community who are suffering from addiction, along with their family members who are affected by addiction, provides a unique blend of spiritual and practical group meetings for anyone with “hurts, habits, or hang ups.”

She also serves the local and global church through Mangun Moments, a mentoring ministry launched in early 2018.

If you’re ever around the Pentecostals of Alexandria, you will certainly see our beloved “Mick.”  She is the wife of Anthony Mangun, the Bishop, the mother of our Senior Pastor, Gentry, and a friend to all.

While a gifted singer and musician, her true talent is loving people. These days, much of her time is invested in our SEVEN Ministry: a restoration ministry she started several years ago.

Anthony and Mickey have two children: Miquell Hennigan (husband, Jeff Hennigan) and Gentry (wife, Lexie Dauzat Mangun). They have two granddaughters, Eva Hennigan and Izabel Mangun, and two grandsons, Gibson Hennigan and Gad Mangun.

Mickey’s hobbies include: running, driving, hanging out with animals and people, and eating Mexican food.

Mr. President and Mrs. Clinton... having just heard Mickey and the Messiah Singers, it is clear that when we all come together, we’re finally...Pentecostal.
